Who is Steven Roho?
Steven Roho (Alex Rosu) is a Music Producer, Songwriter, Singer and DJ, born the 8th of May 1992 in Bucharest, Romania. He started his musical journey at 18 y.o., after he retired from being a rugby player.
From an early age he was passionate about sports and that’s why he chose to study at “Dinicu Golescu” Sports College, where he achieved great accomplisments, as winning The National Rugby Championship for Juniors, while being captain of his team. After an injury that kept him on the bench for several months, he gave up sports and started to sing.
He was selected as main vocalist for a very famous romanian band, "Formatia Albatros", where he improved as a singer. One of the biggest achievements was singing at Beraria H, for over 4000 people, once in 2020, and once in 2023.
In the recent years, he used his creative talent to revive old songs of the band, with a fresh sound and modern vibes. In 2023, Steven Roho, Formatia Albatros and Gabriella were finalists in the Eurovision Romania Competition, with the song Lele, produced by Steven.
In 2016, Steven founded Rush Records, his first venture into music production, and along with this then partner, started their collaboration with music producer Alin Radu. The first official single that he released was “Someone like you” and it was proposed for Eurovision Song Contest in 2016. He went on by releasing the second song “Hai sa fugim”, which was a featuring with Denise and it was signed with Sprint Music, a well known record label from Romania.
On the 26th of September 2016, Steven Roho( aka Stephan at that time) released his first single, “Out of time”, under the label of ToCo Asia. On 12th of June, Steven released his second song, "By your side" under ToCo Asia and Roton Romania, which has been a succes, reaching more than 80k views on YouTube. On the 2nd of April 2019, Steven released another single under his original name "Alex Rosu" called "Ramai cu bine" which has been released with Sprint Music.
In 2022, Rush Records rebranded as Roho Music, marking a new chapter in his career, expanding his creative vision, and solidifying his presence in the music industry. Along with his partner, Gabriella, Steven started working more than ever on his music, evolving and creating not only amazing remixes, but original songs, that have different influences, and bring together oriental instruments with a modern touch and great groove. Roho Music Network is most visible on YouTube, where it showcases original music creations and remixes 24/7, on the Roho Music Network. This network includes Steven Roho, Roho Music, Roho FM, Roho Republic, Roho Magic, and Roho Deep Mood, attracting a growing audience and generating approximately 1,000,000 views per month.
In 2024, Steven Roho marked another milestone of his career when he started collaborating with his teenage idol, DJ Dark, one of the most famous DJ's in Romania. Their first release was a remix of "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas", followed by the release of an original song, "Habibi", that caught attention of internation radio stations like Hits 1 Radio, Play FM etc.
